Why did I make this website?

I made this website after learning about the indie-web revival movement. The idea of creating my own personalised website was appealing, and I was looking for a project to practice Rust (I'm using dioxus to create the site).

Additionally it's nice to have a space to share my works and interests. It helps give them meaning and direction for me, which makes it easier to engage in my hobbies. E.g., I go on a hike, because I enjoy nature photography, and I get to put my photos onto this website. And creating the website is, itself, a hobby.
